Press Release: Cosegic hires Maya Braine as new Managing Director, Financial Crime

Cosegic, one of the UK's leading compliance consultancies, is delighted to announce the appointment of Maya Braine as Managing Director of Financial Crime.

This strategic hire aligns with Cosegic’s ambitious growth plans, supported by MML Capital’s investment in May 2024.

Maya has worked in Financial Services for approaching 15 years, with the last five specifically working in the financial crime consultancy space. She has worked with a wide variety of regulated financial institutions on developing anti-financial crime frameworks, assurance, remediation and training. She formerly worked in the financial crime teams at Deutsche Bank and HSBC, heading up regional high-risk client assurance teams and intelligence/investigation units. She is a Middle East regional specialist, and has lived and worked in the UAE, Lebanon and Syria.

Cosegic’s financial crime team supports a wide range of firms, including those in payment services, capital markets, consumer credit, insurance, and mortgages, with a particular focus on addressing the most intricate and demanding financial crime challenges.
